Elf Blush Palette (dark) review

Elf Blush Palette Review

Beauty Review By: Michelle Hibbard

Elf Blush Palette: $6.00
(available on the Elf Cosmetics site)

If you sign up with your email to the ELF Cosmetics website you will be sent emails to several discounts. If you are familiar with Elf then you probably already know that their cosmetics are super adorable.  A sale in top of the already low prices is hard to pass up!

One of the newer products that Elf came out with months ago is the blush palettes.  There are two options, light and dark. Since it is so close to Fall I decided to try the dark blush palette.
The case is a hard, durable plastic and inside there is a big mirror which I love!

When I opened the palette I totally fell in love. The colors are beautiful. The only thing that had me a little concerned is the blush on the bottom left. There are specs of glitter in the blush.  That is something I haven't really seem before. I don't want glitter on my cheeks!
Fortunately the glitter is minimal so it isn't very noticeable.
However, I will probably not be using that blush as much as the others because of the glitter specs.
I also noticed that the"light" blush palette also has one blush with glitter
in it too. I really wish they hadn't done that but it hasn't stopped me from loving this quad.

Another thing I love about this palette is the bushes are removable. They are very easy to pop out and put in.
In the picture below you can see where I removed one of the blushes and there is a square hole underneath. This makes it very easy to pop the blush with a finger through the square.
If you have both the light and dark palette you can switch up your palettes to the colors of your choice which is great for traveling.

These blushes are not only beautiful in color but they are super pigmented. When I first applied to my cheeks I had hardly any product on my brush and it ended up being way too much. I am very impresed. I have used the single blushes by Elf and they were powdery and some were pigmented and some were invisible no matter how much I packed on. The blushes In this palette however are nothing like the singles.

Since swatches don't show you the full effect I decided to apply each color to my arm and blend with a blush brush.  I gently swept my brush over the top of the blush and then applied it so you can see how pigmented they are with just a dab of product.

All of these blushes blend beautifully,  are very pigmented, are amazing colors for any skin color ( just adjust the amount of product, very little needed for fair skin) and best of all this palette is extremely affordable!
I have already made an online purchase for the light blush palette.
These are high quality blushes for a drugstore price. Can't beat that!
